I have a relative who was christened Minnie Cooper (No pun intended) so that might just be her name.

Thank you all for the information and help.
I appreciated the responses to my questions and when I am fit again and able to get back in to doing it I will certainly use all your suggestions, It may be slow getting there and in bits and pieces but I will - sooner or later.
Thanks again

I posted info based on the PM I received from Patricia

Margaret's details fit

Beatrice's birth is registered in two places in Glasgow - one where she was born, one where the parents lived:

Minnie was Beatrice's sister, according to a PM from Patricia.

Did Minnie die in Scotland, Patricia?

Erika, is Margaret someone mentioned to you by Patricia, or are you thinking she might be Minnie?

Patricia has read (most?) of the replies on the thread & had sent a message by PM.

Have asked her to reply on the thread when she is able. She’s a down-underer & needs her beauty sleep ;-)

Or Minnie might just be a pet name, with no relation to her proper name.
We recently worked on a thread where there was a child called Lucy - but she was known as Minnie.

+++DetEcTive+++

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 5 Apr 2019 16:34

Minnie (female)

Diminutive(s): Min (F)
Pet Name for: Maria (F) Mary (F) Wilhelmina (F) Williamina (F)
Derivative(s): Nornie (F)
http://www.whatsinaname.net/female-names/Minnie.html

Or just the smallest/youngest child!
....

For quite a while I’d looked for the birth of a Cecile or similar. She was known as Cis. Finally the penny dropped that she was not only the oldest Sis(ter) but also officially Doris. Easy enough to take the IS at the end of her name and add an S....Sis.

Did she have any children?

Their birth registration should show her maiden name.

My aunt Minnie was christened Minnie.

ErikaH Report 5 Apr 2019 14:16

Not a problem

Who did she marry?

And approximately when - and where?

OR................... when did she die? And where?

Patricia

Patricia Report 5 Apr 2019 14:05

Unfortunately she married in to the family and there is no one left alive who can shed any light- so I am a bit stuck. Thanks for the thought though!
