Hello all,

I am trying to locate my brother's grave.

Richard Peter Ward was born on the 1st of November, 1956 and died in January 1970, in Wandsworth. I have found letters from his mother to our shared father however I cannot seem to find anything saying where he is buried. I do know that he was buried as there are photos and a discussion of the type of headstone.

Any suggestions as to how to search? Are there any good websites for UK graves?

Have you tried Deceased online

Plus get his death certificate and then contact the parks and cemeteries dept of the local council giving them the details from the certificate

Councils keep very good records and should be able to give you details

Although the registration district is Wandsworth he could have died in one of the areas that the district covered .so you need his death cert for its info

What was his mums name maybe she will show on the London electoral rolls online

Was he born in the U.K. as not seeing his birth record

This comes up with the same dob

He doesn’t show on either of the grave sites so you need his death cert for its info

Yes his mother’s name was Joan E Obee, although when she married my father her name was listed as Obee or Crane.

Richard was born in Los Angeles.

I’ve tried multiple sites for his grave, no luck.
