One of the Ancestry trees says (in fact, more than one, as they've copied from each other) that the idea of possible European extraction is based on the spelling of her name on daughter Sarah's baptism record - ie - Margarette.

A flimsy peg to hang the theory on, it seems to me.

The same tree says that the marriage date of 1815 is a guess, based on the date of first child's birth, and the YOB is based on her age at death.

The statement that she married in Sure, Luxembourg is on the initial info that comes up when searching for her on Ancestry trees ( on three trees) - but when you actually open the trees, they don't claim that at all - they say "not sure" for marriage place and date.

A few trees on ancestry have this for her but there is no corroborating evidence. They have all copied from each other.

And brother James' baptism. So it does appear that Margaret who died aged 51 in 1832, is the correct person.
