‘Dean’ where, please?

You can’t get birth info before July 1837

Have you tried looking for a baptism on any of the genealogy sites?

Dean, cumberland, yeah i,ve looked for him on other sites but info is pretty much the same he is in the 1841 census onwards with his family, I am finding birth info for other ancestors back into the 1700,s making it easier to find parents but have hit a brick wall with william fearon as to who his parents were.

Do you have a record of his marriage?

Do witness names help?

What about naming patterns... what was the name of his eldest son?
Although not necessarily accurate, at those times in rural locations, this can be a guide to parents, which can then be investigated by looking for records.

Did he by chance have a later marriage, during registration times?
I found a father and subsequent baptism for one of my ancestors born 1807, when she remarried as a widow.

Have you investigated FEARON Wills, which might mention ' My son, William.....' ?

I suspect williams parents to be henry fearon born 1758 and mary norman born 1765 they were married at dean, cumberland on 28th may 1786, the reason for this is the names of william fearon and his wife ann formerly tyson their children ann born 1835 the eldest obviously named after her mother, their next child mary born 1837 possibly named after her grandmother mary norman, they had a son born 1842 whom they named henry possibly after his grandfather henry, they had a son william born 1849 named after his father william, but if they were williams parents why have i found records of christenings for their children born from 1788 to 1805 meaning william was probably their last child given their age by this time but can,t find a record of his christening linking him to them

In response to Gwyn,s post William Fearon married Ann Tyson on the 7th march 1835 but because they were married before 1837 there won,t be a marriage certificate to check for parents names or witnesses.

Mich

There will still be a record of marriage and witness names in the parish records.
Granted, fathers won't be named as such, but witnesses might help.
A copy of a 1792 marriage of my ancestors shows the bride's stepfather as a witness, so I was able to progress back on her line.

I can understand your frustration at not finding parents for William.
I have the same problem with an ancestor, Henry b. abt 1812, who married just too early, in the spring of 1837, for his father to be recorded.
Circumstantial evidence makes me fairly sure I know his parents, - they even both had the same trade, but facts are still proving elusive, after many years searching.
