Ignore this post. I need to do more digging as she gives her father as Charles Stevens who is according to the certificate deceased at the time of wedding in 1947. I need to chase Charles I think.



Does anyone know if there is a site that shows migration to Britain?

I have a relation who I believe is German as her name is Irmgard Rossman. I can take a guess at the year Irmgard was born based on her age at the time of her marriage in Hertfordshire in 1947 but was wondering if there was any way of working out when the family travelled to Britain?

To answer the question about travel - the simple answer is no, there are no records of travel from Europe.

The marriage cert would at least give you her father's name, which might possibly help. It would also verify her age - unless she lied!

Perhaps Rossman wasn't her maiden name.

I do have the marriage certificate and Irmgard says that she is 18 years old. Thank you for finding her in 1955 and her husbands family in 1939.
