Can anyone please help. I am trying to find the birth of this lady who maybe turning 100 in January but cant remember if she was born in January 1921 or 1922
I havent been able to find it but would hate for her to miss out on her 100th birthday

She is my daughter in laws grandmother

Any help will be gratefully appreciated

Thank you she was born in January in Scotland but got married in new South Wales

you cant view cert you need to send off for it

for the 100 year rule i think you will need to know her parents

possible parents marriage

Thank you so much I tried Scotlands People but will go back again if I dont find it I can apply for a birth certificate i just need to get the year

I have been back to Scotland people with no success can you please tell me what you did to find the record I greatly appreciate your help

i think you will need to know annies birth date
due to the 100 year rule

does any one of the in laws not know her birth date?

Thank you I will get her birth date tonight and come back tomorrow I know it is January
but the year is so important i can order a certificate once I know that especially if this January will be her 100th

She is the sweetest ole lady

It is NOT possible to order Scottish certs at the moment, due to the pandemic

Once you know her birth date, you can probably figure out which year it was, even though you can't buy the cert at present.

Her birth was registered in 1921, so she was born either in 1921, or in the last few weeks of 1920.

She was born n the 12th January in East Lothian I went to births in Scotland people
put in Hook Anne Sheddon 1919 -1921 and it came back no matches found

can someone p[lease talk me through how to get her records

As has been said a couple of times, you cannot ‘get’ her record - you can only see a transcription

The poster said 12 th January (didn’t specify a year) ———-the birth reg on SP is 1921

Thank you all so much for your help I went to scotlands people explained the situation and a lady contacted me and gave me her information she was born on the 11th January but her family think it is the 12th

I have also been able to order a certificate for her which hopefully should be here before the end of December

I appreciate and thank you for the help I would have been nowhere without it
