Does anyone have any idea when the 1921 census gets released.

My maternal grandparents were born in London 1919 and 1921, without it I’m stuck

2022 at the very earliest............and it won't be cheap to access.
Info about it freely available online

What info do you think the census will provide which you can't get from birth certs and the 1939 Register?

In the most anticipated family history development since the online publication of the 1939 Register, Findmypast has been selected as The National Archives’ commercial partner to make the 1921 Census of England & Wales available online.

The census, which was the first to be conducted following the introduction of the Census Act of 1920, will be published online by Findmypast in January 2022.

I can think of lots of people waiting for the 2021
e.g. they want to know if the children were still with the parents then, as the family split and they are trying to find clues as to where children and parents ended up.
e.g. my sister-in-law's father was adopted as a teenager - where was he before then - he never talked about it.
e.g. someone cannot be found in 1939, nor death anywhere, will he show in 1921, when he was named in a will in 1919 with address.

Obviously.......that was why I asked what Tracey was hoping for :-S
