Both families moved to Pentlow and built bungalows next door to one another. I think they both took in disabled ex serviceman from WW1 and I can recall father saying they hosted children from London to give them a break from the city.

In 1939 they're next door (or possibly in the same house but listed as a separate household) to

Charles Jeeves, 11/12/1870, retired house painter.
Emma Jeeves, 2/4/1869, housewife.

Presumably Dorothy's parents.

Just the short one....will obviously have to get the full one, thanks

ErikaH

ErikaH Report 19 Jan 2021 21:35

Surely there is an address at which the birth took place. And the home address of the informant. Or have you only got a ‘short; cert?

Tim

Tim Report 19 Jan 2021 21:27

Hi ErikaH, I have a copy of his birth certificate which only states District...Edmonton and Sub District also as Edmonton

ErikaH

ErikaH Report 19 Jan 2021 21:16

Buy a copy of the 1922 birth cert for the address, or wait till next year for the 1921 census to be released. Viewing records will be costly

There is no 1931 census

I’m trying to find out where my grandfather Alfred James Kent (born 1893 Braughing Herts) would have lived after he married in 1919. I know where he was in 1933.
My father Alfred Charles Kent’s (born 1922) birth records him born Edmonton but that’s a big area!

My g grandfather Samuel Charles Kent moved from Braughing and in the1939 survey records him living 4 Meux’s cottage Whitewebbs Lane under Enfield
