You'll need to sign out of GR first. .

Then register as if you were a new user.
The link to "Register" will be at the top right of the page once you've signed out of your present account.

I think I'm right in saying you can use the same email address, but have to have a different password.
Ignore any invitations to "subscribe" - ie - pay money.

Then build a tree with the details of the relatives you wish to pass on via Gedcom.

If you want to be signed in to both accounts/registrations at the same time, for ease of referring to the details on your existing tree, you'll have to sign in to one on (for instance) Microsoft Edge and the other on (for instance) Firefox - you can't be signed in to both at the same time on (for instance) Firefox.

Thank you again for your recent help
I think I'm going to, as you suggested
"start another (free) registration on GR"

I cannot readily see how to do this,
Can I ask for more advice please?
Best wishes

No, unfortunately you can't send only part of your GR tree by Gedcom.

Either you send the whole thing, and, as you suggest, the recipient has to delete the bits they don't want,
or else you start another (free) registration on GR, and build a new tree with only the people you want the recipient to have - which is even more laborious than the first option.

Can anyone help please
I want to send a copy of only a particular branch of my family tree to someone.
Is that possible? or will the recipient have to delete all the people he does not want to retain if I send my complete tree?
Is there something I can do Initially at my end to make this more simple?
Thank you in anticipation
Best Regards
Norman
