Family Search has a lot of records from the US. It's free, and as long as you keep to the RECORDS section, very good. The public-provided information can be very iffy, to say the least!

I think it has almost more records than ancestry or FMP, so try on FS first as it is free. See what you can find.

You have to join, but it is free.

If you still need help, come back on here and, as Kath said, there are lots of people who will fall all over themselves to help you. But, as you probably know, it is much more fun to find thins for yourself ;-)

If you're trying to make contact with someone living in America at the moment, just Google "find someone in USA", and several websites will be shown - with some you have to register, or pay to see records.

Try White Pages:
https://www.whitepages.com/

Or this site:
https://www.spokeo.com/

Or just Google the person's name - you never know!

But if you mean you want to find out out about someone's ancestors, see Kath's post above, and tell us who you want to know about, with places and dates if possible.

It depends on who and what you want to find.

Some of us have world wide access on Findmypast or Ancestry so if you let us know who you are looking for someone will try to help.
