See M41 means See march Qtr 1941

Two surnames on birth reg means unmarried parents......and the later reg could mean they eventually married and re-registered the child to give it legitimacy

Instead of a volume and page number against a birth I have found a message 'see M41'. What does this mean as I have found the birth of the same person but with two different surnames
