Does anyone know of any free sites you can search newspapers? A hint on Ancestry shows an obituary which may be someone in my tree as father's name is correct and so is the name of the sibling mentioned but it's not showing up as a result on FMP.

Unfortunately only the lady's first name is given in the hint.

If you use ALBERT’s name, his newspaper death notices can readily be found on FMP

You might find it online by Googling. Experiment a bit, for example the name and date of death, or name and home town. Worth 5 minutes to see.

I believe local libraries will also do a search of newspapers, 30 minutes is free. It can be arranged online, you don't have to physically visit.
