I dont know if anyone can help me but.....

I am looking for my GG grandmother. She would have been around 6months at the time of the census and this is confirmed by later census. However both her parents seem to have died before 1881 as she is living with an aunt and by 1891 she is living with what I think is her maternal grandfather and another aunt!

Her name is Mary Ann Edgson, her parents Henry and Louisa although I am now beginning to wonder if she was an illegitimate baby. Her Grandfather appears to be a William Cant and her grandmother was also Louisa (??). Unfortunately I cant find Loiusa Cant as a young woman on the 1861 census only her mother.

Anyway, I hope I havent confused you all too much.......LOL and heres to hoping someone can put me out of my misery

Thanks everyone, Linda, That entry for the 1881 is interesting. I have been trying to find Henry & Louisa's deaths as I cant find any other reason as to why Mary Ann was living with her aunt in 1881 and her widowed grandfather in 1891. This search seems very real to me as I knew Mary Ann's son, my gt Grandfather as he was alive until Dec 1989, he even met his first gg granchild, my eldest son! love Theresa
