I still think that the George I found you is possibly the right one for these reasons: 1) He is in the right area and on his own 2) I cannot find any John and Elizabeth Edwards together in Suffolk for 1841, have you considered they might have died by 1841? 3) His sister Mary would have been 25/6 by 1841 and probably married. 4) the only Elizabeth I can find is only 25 and married to a Joseph 37 with chilldren William and Harriet living in Oakley 5 There is a Lois Edwards 50 with a Maria 22 and Mary 16, in Oakley They are the only Edwards in Oakley. Sorry I can't help anymore, Kat

MARY You say he was married at Redenhall, so do you know whom he married, was it Jemima by any chance? If it is the right one it looks like they married after the child was born EDWARDS George 25 ag lab Jemima 20 William 1 All born in county Census 1841 TNA Ref HO107-1026 Image No 95 Folio No 9 Page No 10 Entry No 17 Location details County SUFFOLK Superintendent Registrar's District HOXNE Registrar's District STRADBROKE Enumeration District No 8 Parish STRADBROKE City Township Place ASHFIELD GREEN Redenhall where he married is 20 km NE of Oakley where he was born. Hi Kat, Sorry to hear you haven't been well and hope you are feeling better now. I don't know George Edwards parents or siblings, only that he married in Redenhall, Harleston in Dec 1841, so I wouldn't know which of those results to guess at. Thank you very much for your help though. Regards Mary

Hi, Would you mind looking up:- William Irish, born c1787, North Petherton, Somerset, Shoemaker & wife Ann, not sure when she was born but she would also be from Somerset - I am interested in where they were living and who their children were - I can't seem to find them on the 1851! Thanks in advance for your help, Lisa

Hi Kat Thank you for looking up Pratts on the 1841, at least I can now eliminate the counties you have, hopefully Ancestry might have 1841 reasonably soon so I can look at Middlesex as this family is driving me up the wall as I can't find them in 1851. Thanks again. Ann (Dorothy)

DOROTHY I cannot find this family, but as the children were born and married in Middlesex it is most probable they were in Middx in 1841 too. I do not have the census for Middx, see counties listed on 1st page. I have found a William 12 at some sort of school in Essex with 14 other children aged 9-15 with a Henry Griggs 30 schoolmaster. Like William most of them were born out of county.
