Can you please check for any listings for Huckstep? I can trace my decendants back to 1884- that's as far as i have been so far. But not sure if they came from Scotland or England, but would be interesting to know as it is not a very common surname. Thank you in advance. Karen

Kathryn, please , if you aren't too busy, I am curious to see if any of my Scottish rellies have committed any misdemeanors. Can you take a look for any Brash families please. Thanks Dolly.

Kathryn, What a strange book to find! Would be grateful if you could check for Jacksons hung for sheep stealing between 1750 and 1824. Family names include Charles James Matthew and John. Possible places are Perthshire or Peebles. Rosemary (Essex)

Hi Sheila There's a James Bryce for Edinburgh executed for murder but date is 03/04/1844. Murdered his brother-in-law John Geddes at Blaw Wearie, West Calder with fire tongs on 26th December 1843. Can elaborate more, just don't want to quote unnecessarily if not required due to no match. No Mason or Paris though.

Hi Kathryn I have a missing relative - Alice Jepson or Alice Graves - who is last recorded in my family tree in 1901 living in Bonhill, Scotland. When the family move down to London, she doesn't come with them but I can find no death certificate or further record. Just a VERY long shot, could you please look to see if she appears. I think it may well stay a mystery though. Thanks you in advance for your kind request! Jo

Kathryn, That's an extremely kind offer, and one I'd love to take advantage of if I could, but I've not yet managed to get very far with researching my Scottish ancestry. The family name was Stewart/Stuart, and I only know of one with that name who was executed! LOL I doubt very much that I am related to him. CB >|<
