Tricia Report 1 Oct 2005 23:23

Hi Jess Thanks for your reply. I have the details of the 1861 and 1891 census but am unable to locate them in the 71 and 81 census. I am begining to think they were beamed up by aliens or more likely that the name has been transcribed incorrectly. I am hoping that your detecting skills are better than mine. regards Tricia

Laura - have put your request together with the adittional info you have given me and am struggling to make any sense out of it!100 years adrift somewhere - which is correct? 1) Could you look in the 1971 census for a ANN WEBB born 1863. her parents are JACOB AND MARY WEBB born in CAMBRIDGESHIRE thats all the info i have. i know it may be a long shot but its worth a try if you dont mind look seeing what comes up, i do know that ANN married in castle camps in camb'shire which shows that she or her parents did not move out of the area. anything comes up let me know. CHEERS. laura 2)oh rite here is the info i have on Ann. She Married a John Cowell on 7 march 1784 in castle camps, camb'shire. she was born in 1763 and christened 3 apr 763. as a recap her parents were called Jacob and Mary dont have mothers maiden. i know they were born in cambridgeshire. hope this enough. soz did not get bak to you sooner been out all day. Sorry Jess - my bad. Had a rough day yesterday. Let's try this again. Looking for Annette Hewetson/Hewitson in 1861 and 1871. From info I have been given she was born in London around 1794. Her husband died in 1860 so she would have been a widow on both census. Her daughter Adelaide was born c1827 and died c1865, so she may be with her in 1861. Thanks. Margaret
