I have a 19 year old girl as an inmate of a female refuge at Church Street, Cambridge in 1891. Does anyone know what or for whom this refuge was ? Many thanks, Jackie |

Hello jackie, apparently there was a refuge, it accommodated 20 girls. It closed down in 1920. There is a plaque, in the shopping centre, commemorating where it once stood. It was in the parish of St. Andrew the Less.(City Centre). Have just seen message !.. |
