Need help finding marriage record of Wm & Ellen Iliffe found on 1841 cesus at Shude hill manchester. Daughter Eliza christened Manchester Cathedral 1832. Wm born Cleckeaton Yorks 1806, Ellen Edinburgh 1811. She might have been a Townsend as son James second name was Townsend.As an octogenarian time's running out.Can anyone help? You all seem so helpful. i love this site.

Marjorie, Try contacting Manchester Central Library. They have the birth registers for the cathedral. Maybe William and Ellen were married there too. Crista,Max,Wm,Janet,Rosemary. thank you all for your interest, am deeply touched.Tried Scots people but no luck.Tried Manchester Library, but cant find how to view parish registers at St. Marys or if its possible. Will try the expert on Tuesday. Bless you all .

Margaret i put william illiffe into brower bar and the following site came up w w w . c o v k i d . o r g . uk there is a William Illiffe listed there as a voter in 1834 i didnt have time to search the site properly but wondered if this was your William (thin the site is based in coventry) dont know if this will help hevi
