Suzy Report 15 Mar 2003 15:37

Margaret Ward On 1 April this year a new website called www.1837online (dot com) will be launched which will detail all births, deaths and marriages from 1837 onwards. This will enable you to establish the reference number you need to obtain certificates. You will NOT need to know the area in which your ancestors were born, or married or died, just so long as you have a good idea of their name and when they were born, etc This new website will hopefully be a godsend to those of us who are unable to visit record centres. Hope that helps.
