If you are trying to trace Scottish ancestors it is well worth trying www.scottishdocuments.com who hold wills up to 1875. The search is free and it only costs £5 to download - the quality is superb. This has helped me tremendously as the wills often mention all the offspring Hope this helps someone |

Thank you Peter for reminding me about this site. Had a look briefly before but last night after seeing your thread I found my husband's GGrandfathers will. It was so exciting to actually read it and has given me a few names I never knew about before! Thank you once again Christine |
