I was going to start a new thread, but good to keep with this info.
I was staggered to find that you can search the National Archive ,Ireland for 1911 for FREE and all the Inishmurray folk (and I assume other Islands too) are there.
You will see transcriptions and originals.Make sure you use * for those surnames (and shortened forenames) we all know have about 5 different spellings.
Just so thrilled to see them all there where I thought they'd be.
Have fun!!

PLEASE can anyoe help me. I am still looking for my father who was born in Dublin in 1912. The birth cert and the christening record BUT the family who fostered him from birth were always adamnat thst they would never tell him how to contact his family and kept that promise to the day they died.
My father was William (peter) Farady born October 1912 in Dublin. Lived much of his life in Finglas. Known as Thomas Keegan until he learnt accidentally that really his name was as above. As he died I promised to keep searching but sadly never get any futher than he did.

Each year or two I ask the same question PLEASE can anyone help me.

Just had a thought about the school in finglas How would I be able to findif they have any records??

Thanks just for reading this as one day it may jog someones memory
