England and Wales BMD index 1837 - 1983 (they are only computerised up to about 1920, so anything after that I can't do unless you have an approx date)

England and Wales Full BMD index 1984 - 2005

This is the only possibility I could find. Did Emma's first husband die? If he didn't maybe George and Emma never married or their names were spelt so incorrectly they are impossible to find!

Would you mind doing a look-up in the 1861 Census for my great-great grandfather John Booth and his family? Probably Preston, Lancashire. John would have been 12, I think (b. 1848/9). He has a sister margaret who should be 4 (b. 1856/7). His parents were Richard and Elizabeth Booth (though there is a possiblity Richard dies before 1861).

Im wondering you can find the parents of Archibald Brown b1873 who married Elizabeth Park 20-4-1897.She was born1877.
I have them on the mar/cerf as
William Brown b about maybe 1850's a lithographer and Margaret Campbell not sure if she is from Glasgow as i know Archibald was born in Glasgow. hope you can help, thanks for the offer.

Question: Did he have a twin brother called Bartholomew Lee also born 1869.

It does appear that David and Bartholomew were born in the same year, same place but registered in different months. They could be brother’s, David being conceived as soon as Bartholomew was born. Here are the references:

Hi I have a mind block and have tried for ages to locate Stephen Beresford in 1841 census. He was around Durham area 1901-1851. With various spellings such as Beriesford , Bursford, Berresford, Barrasford etc! He was born abt 1822 Byker Hill Newcastle(Northumberland). Any help would be fantastic thanks Judith

None of the John Booths you listed seem to fit. I think I need to send off for his marriage cert so I can confirm for myself that he was indeed the son of Richard and Elizabeth. He definitely had a younger sister called Margaret who was acting as a housekeeper for him in 1881after his first wife had died. John is my mother's father's mother's father so I have only begun recently to nail some facts on this side of the 'tree'.

I notice in the GR index of the 1861 Census there is a John Booth age 12 and a Margaret Booth aged 5, both in Preston. Maybe they are my Booths. I guess maybe you checked these first and they weren't in the same household. I'll buy some credits and check when I have a list of things to look up.

Census 1851, but can you look 1841 and 1861/1871 if possible.

I think he was married to Elizabeth in 1851 census and married to Ruth in 1871 census.
and had a son William b1862 which is my link.
