rather than suing then, would an approach to your local MP bring some satisfaction, or the Minister for Health, whoever that may be, Education Minister maybe?

Ann I know it isnt about the money thats part of the reason why I wouldnt go ahead with sueing but make sure Puss and Davids voices are heard in other ways. They will be more likely to get future help that way for David and accomplish something good as im afraid if they go down the sueing route doors may be closed to them in the future.

I think that makes sense lol

well lots of people who were connected with David failed abysmally in doing their jobs didn't they - presumably they are still in those jobs on fairly high salaries - they should be brought to book!!

excellent point there Jax - I don't think this is about money though, more about the appalling failure of the services to do what they should have done. As Jax says Puss, it would be stressful, and it's a case of whether you think you are able to withstand that stress

Puss please dont take this personally as it is not as I have had to make a similar decision.

I feel sueing them will accomplish nothing in the long run apart from causing alot of stress and getting extra money if you win.Write letters of complaints and ensure that your voice and opinions are heard by the powers that be yes but sueing them will not make up for the past misdeeds that has been done to David, it will put a great deal of stress on your family which you have all already been through so much and I feel your efforts would be better getting the help David needs now.

I hope that doesnt offend you it isnt my intention

(((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))

I'm with you on this Puss. Personally I feel you have an excellent case [what do I know!!] but there must be solicitors specialising in these kind of cases. You are entitled to a free half hour with any solicitor for advice apparently and I have no doubt you could get legal aid as well

Lots of love, Ann XX

im so angry at the way david was so let down by the education authority firstly by failing to reconise david had learning difficulties in his earlier years, ie; the staff member who dealt with these type of children was trained to reconise autism and aspergers.
secondly after finding a suitable school for david and after finding out that he could have spoken his answer to a independent person for his exams on leaving school but it didn't happen yet a teachers son who had dyslexia was allowed this.
thirdly when david did leave school i wasn't aware of this yet it is a legal requirement that he should have had support from school to get him into college, when daff kindly pointed this out , i asked connexions , they said sorry it seems david fell through the net, big hole in that net cause thats all ive heard through his life.
well im thinking of sueing the education authority i feel guilty because there strapped for cash, but david is my lovely son, whats your opinions please
