Hello Pam,

I remember you posting about it. OH and I have just been discussing this. We will only draw cash from inside the bank now and not use the card in any other machines. Inconvenient I know but if we are left without access to money it really won't be amusing.

Had this done to me 2 months ago, so i understand how you feel one card was used to buy a Dell computer and the other to buy phone top cards.

I was very lucky as my bank (tsb) picked it up the computer purchase in just over an hour and so it was stopped and had my money back with in days , so it was well done to them , the other card used I found as it was £20 first I never notice it was the second one of £50 for Vodafone that I did see and as I have a contract phone and nobody in my family use vodafone it was very noticeable but unfortunately Vodafone were not helpful as they said they have to protect the person who bought the top up even though it was an illegal purchase.
I think mine came from buying on line as just before this happened I had a bad problem with a computer virus and think this is how my details were obtained, as I never use a cash point machine and usually only buy my fuel at the local supermarket, also two cards were attacked from two different accounts.

I know what I would like to do to the scum who did this
Take care

Not sure Jen,

OH is the one who pays at garages. They can skim and wait for a while so you can't make the connection as to which garage.

Bl**dy annoying but could have been worse. If it had been in Hungary they may not have queried it cos of our regular visits there. Although we usually tell them when we are going and for how long.

It sounds like they didn't get anything out, though.... well done A & L for acting so promptly.

It feels creepy when you know someone has had your *stuff* though, doesn't it... like a violation.

Just spoken to A & L and someone tried to use the card twice in the Ukraine. Stop on all acounts with them, good job we took some money out of Barclays this morning.

They just say someone has skimmed the card, a garage the likeliest culprit. Back to cash only for a while then :-(((
