minding his own business

along comes jack

annoys the innocent giant

giant becomes rightfully angry

chases jack down the beanstalk

jack cuts down beanstalk

killing innocent giant

These rhymes never bothered me as a child in the 50's but greatly disturbed my kids in the 70's ,especially wee willy winkie --my youngest (now a paramedic) wouldn't sleep for fear of him looking through the door !
