I love the concept of Volvo with their SIPS (side impact protection system) - reinforced doors.

I would go further and put the girders on the outside, plus adding RIPS and FIPS.

I regret the loss of bumpers, any slight impact now costs hundreds to repair as the fender, skirt and bodywork all suffer, whereas in the old days you could straighten or replace the bumper at minimal cost.

Hi Taff & Claire

What about a monster machine with the huge wheels, then she can just go straight over him.

Did he do any damage Julie?

Hi Jules & Julie

I've been driving thirty years, but only got my own car a year ago and until then I was a lovely refined person (tongue in cheek), since then I have become a screaming banshee and when I'm on my own my language is dreadful, but I have never aimed it at a woman driver because we are the best drivers.
Buy a huge car Julie, but remember the road tax is going up for bigger cars, that's a man's decision too!!! lol

Barbara xx
