My 6 x great grandparents were married in this prison in 1741.
The only information given at marriage was his occupation and that she was a widow, It also gave their home towns.Is it possible to find out more through the prison records and if so how would I achieve this.Their daughter's baptism held not long after the marriage was in her mother's home town in Kent.I'm not sure whether they would both have been inmates but I presume so because they came from different counties.Any advice would be appreciated.

Open it up, read around it.What was happening at the time? What was his occupation,would it have brought him there at that time? Are there assize records? Did the Fleet have a seperate chapel?

that's what I thought too, after exploring all the obvious items on the web.My original information on the marriage came from the Sussex marriages cd rom which only give you a very limited amount of detail.
