Karrie - I took 6 'O' levels when I was thirty, and 5 'A' when I was fifty. Despite what the media says, they do not get any easier. Good luck to your son, and God bless for his hard work. I hope he achieves everything he wants to do.

Article in Daily Mail today about how it's not always necessary to get a degree.

My daughter did a degree at University College London, a prestigious university and got a 2.1 in human anatomy and biology. However she has a job where no degree is necessary...a Forensics officer (Scenes of Crimes) with the Met police.

And she has a £10,000 debt to pay back!!!

Good luck to all

Thats sounds interesting Heather. My son always wanted to teach but surprised us with psychology. However I think he may still teach in the future, we'll see

Hi Karrie, my friend can't sleep this week as she is waiting for her daughter's results tomorrow and is panicking about what they will do if she doesn't get her required grades. She is planning to do physiotherapy and it is so tough to get into the best uni's. She is a brilliant student but had a few problems around the exam time and is not sure how she did.
I will have my fingers crossed for all of these kids tomorrow!

I know how you feel Karrie.............My son got his Leaving Cert results today........He was very confident when he sat the exams but in the last week he began to get nervous and worried about whether he'd get the points required for Uni. He needn't have worried because he did great getting 445 points.....he needed 380 so he is on his way. No point in saying good luck.............whats done is done........hope he gets the results he wants
