You are not doing anything wrong,,,,your paid 6 months to ,be a paid member in order to post messages on any board you wish,make contact via a name search,

GR is a little misleading in that it doesnt give you access to any records at all,,unless you then again pay by buying credits to access them.which only directs you to another site to view them,,

The buying of credit system on this site can prove costly,,in tha you only have 7 days to use them,or lose them,,,,

Christine, I too get 12 months and don't have continual membership selected (despite genes repeatedly selecting it on my behalf) I pay a few days before it runs out and continue to get my 12 months.

I believe you have to buy credits to view the records on here, however I've heard tell that they can be a bit of a rip off.

http://www.freebmd.org.uk is a great place to search, keep in mind that the indexes there aren't yet complete but I think they have a place to look to check the completeness of the dates you're looking for.

Also, keep in mind that people on the records & tips boards are often very helpful with looking up other specific things. Just remember to say please and thank you :-)
