had such a trauma yesterday lol



About teatime - 2 of the others came clattering thru the catflap and shot up the stairs.

My instinct made me go check outside - ready to do battle with some oik for chasing them lol

Stepped out - heard a noise and woooooosh (no not a deleted thread lol)

saw a streak of black & white fly past me ............Louie

closely followed by ......................... a flaming huge Greyhound !!!

Eeeek - my heart was in my mouth as i watched Louie fly across the front gardens and up someone's side gate across the roof of a garage out of sight !!! Phew .........


Turn to see a chap puffing towards me from the 'open' grass area at the back of our carpark ...........

I said 'i think he thinks my cat is a rabbit lol' - 'sorry sorry i'm looking after it for a friend' - hmmmm keep it on a lead then for a start, i think to myself.

Dog comes haring (excuse the pun) back from somewhere up the road 'come here' the chap calls - dog goes zooming past him cementing my thoughts about keeping the lead on lol ............. hey i'm on hols from my daddy i ain't gonna obey you - the doggy smirks as it dashes past him.

By this time i have ascertained that Louie is now somewhere across the other side of the open area (the lady saw him fly across the roofs and garden fence lol) and no doubt hiding up a tree poor luv lol


So as he beat the greyhound so well - i am thinking of leasing him to the local dog track - what do ya think ???

(not really lol - but my goodness i am glad he can run fast)

actually - i'm laughing now, but god forbid if the dog had got him - i've seen what they do to the toy rabbit at the race track **eek**

His companions are Coco Jazz and Millie ... lol

mind Millie on reflection was not the best choice for number 4 as Millie/Louie sound similar when called due to the 'ie' ending

poor beggar gets a mite confused when i am telling Millie off for pasting him lolol - i have to shorten her name to Mills so they know the difference *rolls eyes*

Hiya McAnne.... so pleased that Louie is ok.... what a fright... I understood that Greyhounds should be kept on a lead anyway... it is an overwhelming instinct for them to chase small furry creatures, although they are otherwise very placid and beautifully natured dogs!

We looked into rehoming a rescue greyhound a couple of years ago, when we lived in Gloucester.
