Mo you cheeky devil I need something but it isnt a sling at the moment.although my wrists are aching I think it is because I have put a strain on the left one because I am using it more than the right now,

when I lived in Ealing someone gave me about 20 Sari's for my Scouts Christmas and Summer Fetes I left some whole but the others I made into squares and the were square head scarves and I sold out of them the bits left over i made into dolls dresses and they sold as well the sari's only one went.
they were very nice colours and everyone was pleased with the scarves.

we had rain this afternoon I dropped off to sleep after dinner as I had done a lot of walking in the morning only slept half an hour when i woke it was raining heavy .

Thanks Mo but I have just had a horlicks as I was feeling cold now it is making me tired and I dont want to go to bed too early as I wont sleep during the night.

Must get back to my book now. didnt fancy anything on the TV. I had two of my DVD's arrive today and a CD come two more are outstanding

Been out shopping this evening getting youngest a new mattress. She's been complaining of a bad back, lets hope this helps.

Mo and Rita I didn't buy anything in Southall as we didn't stop in the shopping area only at my Aunt's house. I do love the material of saris. I remember seeing them drying on the line when I had an Indian family living next door in Hayes. Also when I had my first baby in Hillingdon Hospital a new mum showed me how she put on her Sari. It's quite an art.

Not very nice here this morning, not forecast good for tonight either. I personally don't like fireworks very much, too expensive and gone in minutes. I don't mind organised displays, not sure if there are any locally.
Luckily our children are all adults now.

I went and booked my warfarin blood test for 26th Novmeber you have to get in early otherwise you dont stand a chance I then posted two letter to Norfolk because of the strike tomorow it might get through London and the Norfolk Postie might not be on strike,

I got another dvd this morning my "Memphis Belle " I only have one to come now.
I gave the Poppy man a poem about Poppies he was so pleased and told me he was going to take it to the British Legion when he goes and show them.
He has been out there everyday for the past two weeks wet or windy.he served in the second world war.

well must finish my cup of tea i do that pour one out and leave it and it goes cold.

Hi Everyone.

Rita talking about Poppies, we wore our one's on our flight to the USA and the Air hostess wanted to know why we wore one as she said I have seen a few others with those today. on this flight !............. Need I say
more !!

So now I'm wearing mine every day here so the American folk will know about our Service Men way or another ..LOL

It was so hot last night that I had to sit on th deck outside for AIR, our air con don't seem to be working very well, got to get that fixed today ,almost had a panic attack !!

Now how are you all back there? I know when we left it was raining at Bristol airport.
I'll try and shove a little sun your way I need get cool , so I dont mind sharing.......kind of me ?

thats right rub it in having hot weather I am going to huff and puff tonight so you get a little bit of our weather..
you were talking about wearing your poppy on the plane I was speaking to the old fellow who is selling poppies outside Waitrose his been doing it for a couple of weeks all weathers he was telling me some of his f riends went across on a plane to visit the places they were at during the war in France and they wanted to visit the big cemetery where their friend were buried.( he is well into his his 80's )and he told me were wearing their medals and was told they could not because of the pins and were made to take them off.. I think they were given them back when they got off the plane.but I think that was disgusting.
