Pat,

Good to see you're keeping up the fitness routine. Are you enjoying it ?

I'd hate to work Mon-Fri 9am - 5pm. I'm so used to setting my own objectives and working criteria. Mind you a routine is good to establish parameters for your leisure time. Each to their own.

Your Scottish holiday is not too far off now. There are a few good Web sites that you could look up to see and read about the area of the Trossachs.

I spent a lot of time in the Library as a youngster. There was also always books in our Family Home, hence I suppose that's why I have such a love of good books now.

I am passing my books onto my Grandchildren when I depart this mortal life.

Eilidh the oldest one, age 8, is always fascinated with my books especially the ones that are over 100 years old.

Time for supper. :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

It seems ages ago since I went to the library and came out with 11 books! :-D :-D

Hi Yvonne
Our first stop is Usk for 2 nights where we will go to the counrty show and meet up with Jude,a GR member. We did this 2 years ago.
Then we are going down to Cornwal. So please keep fingers crossed for a little dry weather. It doesn't have to be hot or sunny. Thanks.
Have now sorted 2 bedrooms and half the garage and done some gardening too so bit worn out.

Morning friendlies,
Pauline thats the first really interesting thing I've found in 2 years. We're a boring bunch :-( lol, lol.
My gorgeous girl Meg is 21 today, not a day goes by that I don't think about how lucky we are to have her in our lives. We didn't expect her to reach 21 days and here we are :-D :-D :-D She is so cheerful and happy and makes the whole house feel better just by walking through the door, always singing and smiling.
Hope everyone is well and has a good day,

Stephen, you saying I look like a weed? I thought I looked quite fetching with those lovely mauve petals. Never mind, I'd be happy with Bill or Ben, any will do............. all those pots will come in handy in the garden.

Cath, I hope you haven't done any damage to yourself, you'll have to take it easy at the party................ no dancing on the table.

Oooooh, you've got interesting people in your tree, I haven't got anything like that in mine.

Stephen2009

Stephen2009 Report 7 Sep 2011 21:01

Going around like that, dressed as a flower, might attract Bill or Ben, The Flower Pot Men.

Evening all friendlies.
Hope everyone is well. :-D
Woe is me.
Hurt my back at work this morning so I'm not a happy bunny :-( :-P :-(
I just lifted a bucket of water and something weird happened in my back and I got pins and needles in my foot. I hope its better for friday night, I don't want to be a party pooper. Our youngest daughter, Megan, is 21 tomorrow. I don't know where the years have gone.
Been busy on my tree, I discovered a GG Uncle who was murdered by his business partner in 1864 in Australia. The murderer was hung and I found some newspaper archives about it so I've been engrossed. :-S
Having an early night, sweet dreams all,

Cath xx

P.S Pauline emails made me laugh, thanks.

Rita, that was really really lucky, if you'd been one step slower you might have been under that tree. Someone was watching over you that day............ your John maybe!

Linda, how long are you away for?

I've just noticed that the icon for 'No New posts' is working, it hasn't worked for ages.

Perhaps people will be able to get on this fiendly thread if we are away on holiday. i didnt realize you were off as well Linda.I knew George was off he mentioned it.

I am still trying to fit 30 items injto a suit case that hold 20 it is a night mare. I have walked off and left it for a while.

Pauline I dont think my sister gave it much thought. I will see what she says when she arrives later today
Two years ago I was worried about three trees that were all standing in a group near the little pub "The Fox and Flowerpot" so I mentioned it to one of the men who was cutting a tree down along the road near the bus stop, he said they are perfecttly safe, been there for donkeys years.
A few days later I walked across to our Mobile libarary who came on a monday afternoon in a big Caravan shop. I walked back and passed the trees as I passed I felt what seemed like a pull on my skirt one of the tress had fallen down as I passed. thats what you call luck. and a branc h had caught the back of my skirt. the tree lay across the pavement and in the road. . a very busy road. no one was hurt, I came back and phoned the Roads department. and explained what had happened .and said Kids coming out of school were walking in the middle of the road trying to avoid the branches they sent some tree doctors down who blocked the road off and started sawing the tree up they found all the three tree roots had rotted so had to fell the other two as well.,

Think I will make a cup of tea and then do this blessed case.

Rita
