Hi all
I use to cut my husbands hair he didnt have much as he got older. I also Cut the boys hair. my daughter does her husbands and her grandchildrens my son cuts his own with a razor lol

George my Dad was a master builder he was born in 1908 when he died my sister and I found a book he had started to write on building and his life growning up. it was more or less in three parts growing up during the first world war and his life as a builder also about his working at Dehavaillans during the second world war and being in the home guard. we got it published , and the family were all given one of the books each, we gave some to the Willesden History Society to sell and the Willesden Records office he went to an ordinary school and left when he was 12 years old. My sister had a letter from the British writing Muaeum in London where all the books are kept, and they asked for one and opne for each of the universities.for oxford university., Cambridge along with London university and the Irish and Scottish universities because he had described all the tools and material they had used in his early life as a builder.a lot of the work was in London some of the well known ones.

George, you're few years older than me and Agatha's a little bit older than my son.

Agatha, we probably do a better job than the hairdresser anyway, at least we get it the way we want it and not the way they want it.

Pat, I was a member of a gym for about 10 years and I still never got that rush you're supposed to get.............. I gave up on it about 2 years ago.

Maddie, I bought 6 toothbrushes today because they were less than half price, my husband just rolled his eyes when he saw them.

Rita, I cut my own hair, cut my husband's and son's as well. I cut mine this morning before I went out.

Looks like you're up to Marilyn's tricks............. getting your hair done and buying new clothes, should have gone the whole hog and had your nails done as well Rita.

George, I wish I could lie in bed till 10am, I have to get up at 5am every day. Don't work too hard with your cleaning.

while the weather was nice and dry and the sun was shinning I caught the bus into Woking to get my hair done.
There was a young women on the bus who had a baby in a pram and her other three little ones sat at the back, and made one hell of a noise they were shouting and singing and arguing they eldest must have been about 6 she shouted at them to stop and they carrie don, I could hardly wait for my bus stop to come so I could get off.

when I got to the hair dresses they were packed out and there were only three girls on duty people where coming in and going out because they didnt want to wait. I had my hair washed trimmed and blow dried I felt better when I cam out of the shop. I walked along the Mall and brought myself a skirt and two blouses. little devil I was today.

I felt tired when I go back home but I am pleased I had my hair done.

I hope everyone is having a good day. I know Jean will not. but it will be another out of the way for her.

Hi all, another dull dark day. At least it's dry and not as cold as yesterday.

I've no doubt those big black clouds are waiting for me to go out of the door before they burst.

Shelly, looks like you missed Marilyn as well, we'll just have to grovel a bit when she comes on.
I think your Barber family are hiding from you, they don't want to be found.

Hope everything goes well for you Jean............. love the avatar.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning everyone, hope you are all well and enjoying life.
Sorry to have been absent for so long, I find chemo takes away my concentration, cant really settle to do very much of anything.
OMG, looks like I have lots of catching up to do, this thread has grown so much.
Only 5 more treatments, today and Friday, then Mon/Wed/Fri next week, then another scan at the end of the month.
Where has our summer gone? I had my heating on last night for a few hours it went so cold at teatime.
Has anyone done anything interesting or exciting?
Going to make a cuppa and some toast and catch up with your posts on here.

Take care and stay safe today.
Jean xx :-) :-) :-)
