Morning all Just another dull day here again. Spent an enjoyable day yesterday. Went round Hughendon Manor, home of Disraeli. It was very busy. Then we went to Father in law, he is well. We went out for dinner and had a good talk too. Hubby is back to work today and I want to paint the dressing table if I can. Have a good day everyone

well I did enjoy watching "The Edinburgh Tattoo" this evening
I had never seen the Dutch Cycle regiment. ? when I was on holiday in Amsterdam a few years ago I dont think I have very seen so many cycles at the station car park and people riding them I took a lot of photos to show my family when I got back. The German Army mountain marching band was good as well. I was humming along to the pipes bands It was a shame the weather was not so good for them/
I have some glass made at the glass factory from Oban had it for years. My Mother anf Father always brought my sister and myself a piece of Oban glass every year when they went up there.for their holidays.
I am off to bed now. so sleep well,
Love Rita

Pat,
I hope your October trip is blessed with good weather.
Do a Google for
Trossachs Photographs
Some lovely images of the area you will be staying in.
Loch Ard in the Trossachs is one of my favourite places in Scotland.

Mo........
Oban at Halloween , that would be a laugh. There are sure to be some Trawlermen in town then.
Oban was packed with the usual Summer Tourists. I only went ashore to get some provisions and to the Fuel Jetty for some diesel. I don't use a lot of fuel but like to keep the tank full in case of an emergency. A tank full would take me 50 mile or so. More than enough to get out of trouble.
I see Marilyn is off on another trip. At least she missed Hurricane Irene.
Having a nice relax just now with some chilled Irn-Bru. :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

Shhh Stephen, don't mention Oban to Rita, wasn't that where we lost her to the, ahem ,coach driver before we got chased out of the place. I blame Pauline and Maddie for looking up the Trawlermens kilts, when they were singing the sea shanties to us. lol I want to know when we are going back.....we can always go in disguise, especially if it's around Halloween time, we could do a fly past on our broomsticks. And you could drop your smellie haggis bombs on them. Remember last year, when Maddie took us on the London trip on our B/Sticks.

Evening All !
I'm going back to my Yacht ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)
It's too much like hard work being at home :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P
It's gonna take a month to catch up with this thread.
When I was in Oban the Police remembered the GR squad that had caused a riot last year......Beating up the Trawlermen outside the Pub :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D I had to explain I was on my own and that you had all been on good behaviour for the last year ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)
I have missed my daily dose of GR Friendly Folk............and the humour of the Thread.
It's good to be back <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Hello Mo and Rita
Mo a lot of my rellies are from around Hastings, then moved to Canterbury, Gillingham and Chatham. My older sister and her family used to have a caravan on a park just outside Hastings, I think it was a Haven park.
Rita I think it's quite chilly.

Hello Yvvone how are you are things going OK . ?
Hello to Jean as well. how are things wih you Jean ? have you heard anything about Scarlett ?
I have just opened the long window in my front room it was so chilly this morning even though we had a nice sunny day.but it has warmed up slightly so I opened them to let the fresh air in.
I have been trying to sort thorugh some of the papers I have in and on my desk. I keep promising to clean them out but delay and then they get worse. I do hate to leave jobs and then worry about them.
I have sorted out my list for the things I need to take on my holiday/Granddaughters wedding. I hope the weather improves. for her. I feel I need that break now. but I have so much to do befor then and I have under 10 days to fit them all in.
Hope you all had a good weekend.
Rita x

Hello folks. Welcome home Stephen, we have missed you, you cheeky wee thing. George and Dermot, tried to keep our chins up for us, but we did miss your banter, even if it does drive us doolally at times. LOL
Yvonne, we have been in Sussex today. We went to Hastings, but stopped on the way, at Alexandra Park for a few hours. When we decided we would drive down to the old town, to see what changes had been made to the seafront, we were sooo shocked, we got to the first roundabout, and the traffic was nose to tail right through to the sea front. So we turned around and came back home. But it was lovely in the park, they were having a dog show there, not as grand as Crufts and for scruffier dogs, but it was lovely to see the different types off dogs on show.
Tea time, see ya's laters. Mo xxx

The board was a nightmare for me to get on yesterday. I thought my computer was down at one time ? then the lettering got so big but I managed to correct it this morning it was the percentages at the bottom
I have just finished doing my washing and the sun is out. but there is a nip in the air, I expect Marilyn has boarded the ship by now? she said she was leaving early.
Stephen you must be a very fit man. I would like half your energy. glad you had a good time, now it is back to reality
Shelly if you come acoss any HORWOOD or LEE Graves on your trot to the cemetery I would be pleased if you would let me know. ? some of my HORWOOD were buried in Paddington some are in Kensal Rise one

Morning everyone Welcome back Stephen, Marilyn is off on the seas to America now, she will be sorry she missed you!!! We were getting worried about you. Much better day here so far, the sun is shining, but is cool, quite autumnal really. Off to see father in law in a bit. He is near High Wycombe so might combine it with a visit to Hughendon Manor NT
Hopefully get back later
Linda :o) :-) <3

Hi Stephen, I've had a look at the google things. I like Arisaig. Quite near Fort William which I've been to. Miles up Scotland. I realised this after I'd booked the coach tour back in 2002 :-0
I don't intend overdoing it at the gym. Just gentle exercise- in moderation. I'm no fitness freak! Doing a bit of reading and going to watch an Agatha Christie film then off out to the local park where there is some sort of a fun day.

To help answer the question 'Where have you been ? '
If you do a Google for the following........................
1. Hebridean Sailing Photos
2. Arisaig Sailing Photos.
3. Isle of Skye Climbing Photos.
This will give you a good idea of my wanderings and why I was so reluctant to return to everyday life.
Have a good day ya all. ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)
