wHALLO, HALLO AND HALLO,
I am back at last. I have been trying to access this site for more than a week now, e-mails going back and forwards to Genes Reunited. I was just about to give up when lo and behold here I am back. I am so so happy.
Trying to finish the Birthday Girls Xmas cards by the end of the month. I have now made 24 out of the 31 so not doing too bad. It is a bit monotonous making the same card for everybody, but then I know what you have all had. I have lots of other cards in different stages of being made and should finish these by end of November.
Johan and I have lots and lots of slides taken when we were in Nigeria - 6 years - and I have persuaded Johan to help me make them into a CD for the children for Xmas. He didn't want to at first but then I told him we could get rid of the slides, projector etc. he thought it a good idea too.

Hello all.
Heather, will be thinking of you on Wednesday, a sad time for your family.

Sylvia hope the vitamins improve your health.

Jo hope you continue to feel better, miserable feeling poorly

Issy You have been busy, hope you do well at the craft fair, do you do them often? Good luck anyway.

We have had a lovely day. westonbirt was magical, the colours were beautiful, the sun shone and the sky was a brilliant blue backcloth. It was however, crowded, I had thought it might not be being Monday but there were so many there they opened the second car park by 11am. It was till possible to take photos unhindered though. We actually didn't walk the whole of the arboretum because of Tony's foot but we stuck to the seasonal trail and the Acer glade. We can do that because we are not paying by the day to go in being members. When we had walked round we sat outside and they have the food caravans there which are not there at other times of the year and we had an original Cornish pasty (made in Cornwall cooked on site). I have downloaded one lot (two cameras 190 photos all told. There are some good ones that I will be using on cards and, of course scrapping with them.

Good afternoon, everyone.
Jojo I'm glad to see you are beginning to feel better.
Sylvia I hope the vitamin injections work for you, it's about time you were feeling better :)
Heather, I hope Wed goes off ok, it's so sad to say goodbye to those who are dear to us. My thoughts will be with you.
I have been very busy making items for a craft show I am doing next month. I have made some bracelets, necklaces, phone charms and bag/jeans charms. I've also made watch straps and bracelets from a product called grunge board made by Tim Holtz. It's a very flexible board and you can do lots of things with it. I have been using Cosmic shimmer paints and Glimmer Mist sprays as well as stamping and embossing onto the board. You can cut it and put it through the cuttlebug. It's been a nice change from making cards.
Have to go now, time to put the dinner on.

Thanks for the email address Sylvia, have emailed you. Hope all the vitamin injections work and you get back to your normal self. Johan certainly doesn't look his age and I would also love to listen to his talk on Indonesia he will make it so interesting.

Weather here sunny but cold, have got my log fire lit so snugly and warm.

Hi all,
It was only when I read Jo's thread about the mail over Xmas cards that I realised I haven't mailed my new e-mail address through. I will now do this for anybody who wants to note it here and now.

[email protected]

I hope to be sending a Xmas card to everybody as I did last year, but realise not everybody has the time.
What lovely weather we are having here, almost too good to stay indoors and make cards.
I am lacking so many vitamins at the moment and having injections in my food and body so by Xmas should be running around.
Our local handwerk shop is holding a course on making jewellry and am very tempted to do this, but having to keep going to the loo inbetween puts me off. I keep saying to myself it will soon be over. I do want to be able to take part in life again.
Johan is going to go to different schools and give the pupils a talk about Indonesia, where he was in the army for a few years. This will most probably follow the children's history lesson. He is looking forward to doing it, even though he is 84, doesn't look it either, he is keen.
I want to go with him and listen to his talk.
Well back to card making.

On the mend now, just need to build up the strength again.

Have sent out an email regarding Christmas cards, hope you have all received it. Will get back to you later in the week with the decision, although it does look like it will be groups of 8.

Hope everyone is keeping well, and I know it is a little late, but I hope Sue had a lovely birthday.

Keep nice and warm and I hope you haven't got too much rain at the moment.

Hi Ladies, sorry have not been around have spent the last 6 days ill in bed with a serious bladder and kidney infection, have got up this morning for the first time, but will soon be gong back!! Think the extra strong antibiotics and pain killers on an empty stomach are not helping how I feel.

I have received a message from Heather. She would like to send her apologies to the ladies who have October birthdays but she has had a sudden bereavement and everything is up and down at the moment she will get the cards out as soon as she can, she didnt want you to think she had forgotten about you.
