Hi Lee

Hope you have better luck than me. No one seems to have any interest in people I want to find.

Hi Lee and Major Bloodnock,

Thats because you are on the wrong section of GR try the Records Office section, I am sure you will get lots of help there!!

Hi Lee and Major Bloodnock, the problem with the Trying to Find board is the only people who will see your posts are the people who are searching for those particular names. The post also will soon disappear as more people post on the board.

If you post on the Tips or Record Office Boards more people will see your posts. One word of warning, only put on enough information, not too much. Just be aware of the fact that your details will be there for everyone to see.

Good luck and please be patient.

Hi All...Lee has posted his original request on the Trying to Find board.

Lee your request has only been on there for one hour. The researchers are mmembers like youself. And are all volunteers, doing the work in their own time & sometimes with their own money. Please be patient until someone gets back to you.
One tip try 192.com.

Good Luck
Steve.

Hi all...... The Tips board is what it says it is. People offering tips of how to do something, or people asking how do I?

The Records Office is meant to be where people who are visiting actual records office volunteer to research material for others. Or for people asking if someone search for them at a records office.

Lee posting his request in Trying to Find is correct. If your request gets swamped Lee. You can nudge it back to the top of the list by, clicking on your messages Reply button, then type n or nudge, then click submit.

People also use the Surname Information & History pages for research requests.
I suppose it down to interpetation of the board people will post whwre they think best.

Steve.

I know what you are saying Steve, and know that the Trying to Find board is probably the right board for this query.
I just thought that Lee might get more people wanting to help if he posted on the other boards. Personally I never look on the Trying to Find board unless I am looking for someone in particular myself, or some family member.
