Very glad your sister is doing so well, and hope she can start the physio soon so she isn't so fed up. You must be so relieved.

Hi Shirely, i am so glad that your sister is improving, every day now hopefully will see an improvement in her, i would not mind the confusement so much as yet as her brain has had an very nasty shock firstly by the aneurysm itself and then by having the surgery. Hopefuly within the next week she should be in the high dependcey ward and out of the Critical Ward.
((((((HUGS))))) Take care.
Betty.

Shirley~I,m getting the hang of it Report 26 Mar 2009 22:54

My sister had a burst aneurysm in the brain two weeks ago tomorrow and was lucky it was treated within the golden hour with brain surgery, she had a bad week from tuesday last til Friday when they discovered she had two blocked veins in her neck which were treated by angioplasty.
have heard today the latest news and looks like she is doing quietly well, she seems to have been affected by stroke type of injury as still seems a bit confused,This is the latest email i had today.
"Up date on Lynne. She is still in the Critical Ward but is doing really well, eating small amount, and sipping Pepsi, her memory is also getting better, and has almost normal movement in her legs and arms. But, unfortunately being confined to bed is making her restless, she really wants to get up, so much so she was trying to pull one of the tubes out from her head which is not a good idea, as this is draining the blood clot. The physiotherapist has told her that she will speak with the Doctor about when the tubes can come out, then she can start physio, which I am sure will make her feel less irritable with herself"
