Mother was adopted by Grandpa O. He and Grandma had their own children afterwards. Just had contact from a grandson of Grandpa O. Goody, goody, I have loads of info on that family which I can share I hope he has photographs of them for me. That would make my week :-))

My 'dear' Father destroyed everything after my Mother died in 1959 so I have very few family pics, only those taken by my sister who was 19 years older than me. I have been fortunate to receive a pic of my paternal grandfather via Ancestry, which I treasure.

Angie, I was lent all my sister's albums after she died and I scanned every photo I wanted so I have my own copies.

MIL has given me ALL the pics from OH's family as she knows they will be well looked after. It was a wonderful gesture but I really do want more of my own family.

Really pleased for you, it is so exciting to share. I sat and cried when i got my hands on photographs of my two Maternal Great Grandmothers. Both dead well before I was hatched. it was great to see the faces of people I felt I knew and to let my Mum who is reg blind see them before her sight totaly goes. Good on you and enjoy the new found leads xx
