Sent our granddaughter her usual comic yesterday and added £10.00 for Easter, just a text from her mum to say they are putting the money towards a membership for her at the modelvillage where they live. She just loves going there...what alovely idea. They are such beautiful parents:o))) and she is a beautiful little girl. She sits on the floor surrounded by her books and reads themto her doll. She remembers most of the stories and tells them her way:o)
Sent grandson 4 books and £5.00, he's just getting more interested in his books, he'llbe 2 in May. Again such a gorgeous little boy and beautiful parents. We are so very lucky:o))
They don't need all those easter eggs do they!!

Our young grandchildren have had a small egg each and books each. They love to 'read'. Where is the model village? Elder son wants to go to Legoland ( for himself, I think).

They sound sweet grandchildren Jude, and their parents seem very sensible too......

Every Easter Sunday we have an Easter egg hunt, have done it from when our kids were small, and now for the grandchildren......but I have now found out that they feel that the grandchildren are having too much chocolate........even though we give them clothes instead of a big Easter egg........ another long family tradition will now bite the dust.......

I see their point, but it is a shame.....

I love seeing children with books, hopefully it will get them interested for life and learn so much.

Im sure they wont go without Easter eggs either.

Aww thats a shame Sally....can you not hide something else, how about they all make an egg out of papier masche, or a hard boiled egg and paint it etc, probably notquite the same thing though o((
Tis a shame:o(

When we went to see them in Dorset a few weeks ago m
l already prepaired 2 eggs.l broke the and emptied the yoke out, then stuck the shelltogether, then covered in white tissue, glued it on, then E painted it and stuck gems etc on,so cute:o) l also stuck a piece of ribbon so it can hang:o) l tried the same for M but the eggs kept breaking, doing it that way made it daintier:o) we also made a miniature garden, l took the moss, a mirror, little twigs of blossom, toothpicks to make a fence, she was in her elimante for ages.... so was l :o)
Oh l'm sure they'll both have some eggs.
