Have a lovely Easter, Cynthia and enjoy the eggs:)) Uggers, I put this thread up because I thought Cynthia posted some really nice thoughts about how she is celebrating Easter from a religious perspective. It was all spoilt by the arguments on Mel's thread. I didn't think Cynthia deserved that. Of course you all know that I don't get involved in arguments on here:))

Cynthia is always pleasant and polite. I don't think I need to apologise to her but I can if you like:)

I don't think there's anything wrong with religious threads on here personally if I'm picking up the right gist. Just as relevant or irrelevant to a genealogy site as dying tortoises and grandmas and washing machines.

Is that how you spell 'gist'?

Hey :-)

Thank you for your kind thoughts Sue. Of course apologies are accepted; I really didn't feel terribly 'slighted' so please don't worry.

Meanwhile, I look forward to celebrating something which is very dear to me.

...........and I like Easter eggs too :-)

You're right SueMaid, and I was about to say something on the thread.

The way Cynthia put things across is to be respected. It was not 'in your face' or ramming anything down anyone's throat, but a simple statement of her own beliefs while having enough respect for those of others. For that she can only be applauded.

........an apology is probably owed to Cynthia. She put some reverant and thought provoking musings up on Mel's thread and they were swamped by all the argy bargy. Cynthia didn't deserve to be caught up in that - she's kind and gentle and it was so unfair to her.
