Went to station on Monday -told it was too early -going to London hopefully on 2ND JULY with grandson .So went in again today. After waiting 15 minutes in queue girl said too early .I said it`s 12 weeks. She quoted me over £100 --no way . I said I was told £44 with Railcard on Monday . She nearly bit my head off -that`s a special allocation and they are all gone-, she said-what in 24 hours -as I couldn`t book it till yesterday. Then she said -it`s not worth using Family rail card. That`s the 2nd time I`ve been told £44 as I phoned a few weeks ago and that`s what I was quoted. She was a nippy sweety and I just said I`ll leave it. Oh and then she said -is it for one person , well I wouldn`t be handing over FAMILY RAILCARD if it was for one person.. I`LL WAIT AND SEE IF I CAN GET THE FOLLOWING WEEK AT THAT PRICE OR IT WILL BE THE NORMAL TRAIN

Family rail cards are not worth the paper they are printed on.

I had one and like you had nothing but probs trying to book tickets~you either too early,too late or the train you want to go on theres no seats available.

mind you got a good deal to London last year -can`t remember the cost but under £60 return from Glasgow for 1 adult and 1 child

WOOPEE -GOT IT FOR 44.20 FOR 2 OF US ON ORIGINAL DATE , 2ND JULY , JUST PHONED UP , NO BOTHER , LADY WAS LOVELY AND VERY HELPFUL

Now to get a reasonable hotel , didn`t like Travelodge last year , any ideas ?
