I was too old for the Beatles as was in my late twenties/thirties and had gone past that stage.lol BUT i loved the old timers like Ella and Frank . I remember my mum in the 1950/60,s i think absolutely adored Donald Peers and she liked Kathy Kirby and Alma Cogan, We had a small 12" screen TV and she used to watch Billy Cotton with Kathy Kirby and then both Kathy and Donald Peers had their own TV shows, Gawd help anyone who spoke whilst they were on the box.

I Like "I'll get you", but seeing as though George Harrison seems to be everyones favourite... I Also like "Happy Just to Dance With You"

unfortunately i didn't have the pleasure of seeing them first hand (im only 27) and John Lennon died the year before i was born, but their tunes are still awesome and still as relevant today, so LONG LIVE THE BEATLES!

Being of the older generation, who was a Frank Sinatra fan, I really liked all the Beatles. My favourite song was Imagine all the People (hope that is the correct title)

John Lennon was the love of my life LOL.

I did warm to George later on though...my most ever favourite of his is When My Guitar Gently Weeps.

It was great when George teamed up much later with my other favourites Bob Dylan and Roy Orbison and together with Tom Petty and Jeff Lynne became the Travelling Wilburys.

My favourite was always George.
I had the great pleasure whilst at university (in 1997) of visiting the Bhaktivedanta Manor he funded in Watford.
What a wonderful place, what wonderful people, what wonderful bullocks, what wonderful food!
Mind you - the best rice pudding I ever tasted was at the Sikh Gudwara temple in Southampton!!
