West Cross st. doesn't seem to be there unfortunately.

You can see photos of the area (district 16, bounded by Regent Rd., Ordsall Lane and Oldfield Rd.) on Google maps street view

My usual reminder, the Salford, Regend Road area census 1851 was water damaged, much of it has now been recovered and is on a separate pay to view site.

I am sure there will be someone around who knows the area, but there might not be so many folk about over Easter if they are dragged kicking and scraming from their computers to go out and play so don't be disheartened if you don't get a response yet, try again later, i.e. nudge the thread.
Happy Easter

Since I live overseas and don't have access to visit I was wondering if someone could help. On the 1861 census (for Salford, Lancashire) my relatives were living on West Cross Street (in the Regent Road area (district 16) running a provisions shop) Is there still a street in Salford/Manchester called West Cross street or has it been completely redeveloped & taken away. Thanks (Wasn't sure if this was a trying to find message or not so posted here)
