Just got home from my Italian holiday. Weather was fantastic but we found out our hotel had been changed as the original one was not finished being refurbished. Now it was clean beds ok( should be as it was 4*) However, the staff all bar one never wished us good morning etc, never smiled at us, in fact were very cold. Breakfast was fine but our evening meal was a disaster. The pasta was fine for the stater but from then on it went downhill. Frozen chicken steaks 2 days a chicken leg that was boiled with a pile of tinned carrots nothing else and the desserts were instant whip, caramel something or other and a piece of dry cake covered in custard. We hoped because we were in Italy that we would have Italian food, no way. On the next to last day I asked if I could have the gateauex that was in a cooler with other delicious looking sweets. The poor little waitress said sorry they were for the other guests not the coach parties ( cost us £ 500 For the week). They didn't even give us cofee after the meal. The hotel was the Soleil Lido de jesolo don't go there. Having been on many coach tours with the same firm and always had exellent hotels it makes me nervous in case the next one will be like this, the next is Croatia in October, all paid for now. What do you think I should do to let the Hotel and others on route there know how badly we were treated. Elaine. |

Get in touch with your travel agent pdq - tell them you are extremely disappointed and list all the problems you encountered. |

if you put the name of the hotel in google you will probably find they have a section for holiday makers' comments - add some of your own |

Elaine, I am sorry you were disappointed with your hotel, especially as not the one you chose so you should definitely contact the travel agent as soon as poss and log a complaint, you should have done so while you were there really but just make a fuss and see if you get compensation. They should know how badly you were treated and that you didn't get what you had booked for. |
