Oh Julie

Can you appeal, your niece was pregnant, taken to the hospital. I would, twas an emergency, am sure they would make an allowance on this occasion.

Thinking of you

~~ hi Hayley :))

Julie, there must be a record of her attending the hospital, being checked over.

Uggers Report 14 Apr 2009 17:39

Julie, I've had two fines for it - they let me off the first time but not the second. Both times I'd bought the ticket and the dozey bloke in the shop had put the wrong reg number in. Worth appealing though I wouldn't say you didn't see the C sign cos they might just take yr licence away lol

Jac Report 14 Apr 2009 17:49

I got away once with just a warning off the police, when I said that the no right turn wasnt there the last time I went into that part of the town, and that it had been a no left turn sign then! I had turned right and the jam-sandwich was right behind me - I told them that I thought someone had turned the sign round.

You could see the thoughts on their faces "dozy mare" lol

I reckon this congestion charge thing is a blooming liberty - they are threatening to bring it in here in Nottingham and it wont be welcome - tradesmen now have the dickens of a job parking outside offices etc. without getting a ticket, and need to apply in person for a day licence from the council - if they dont like the cut of your jib apparently they wont give you a licence.

I am glad that your niece is okay, Julie.

Good luck with the appeal. x

Good luck with the appeal Julie. Hopefully common sense will prevail and they will see that you had a rather important thing on your mind rather than noticing whether there was a sign for congestion charging. ie getting your niece to hospital safely.
