So why has it taken me so long to learn how to do this!!

Burned first ever photos to disc and they work.
First music cd plays in both my computers, not tried it in my car yet, but will before I do any more.
Also need to sort out what the problem is with the sound card in one of my computers, have to use an external one and not ideal.

I suggest you burn a disc then check it in your car before you do others Rosalind. OH did a disc that would no way play in his car. Others will, and the one that wouldn't play in his car will play in mine.

Thanks for the replies.
I have now located a copy of Nero 6 in the cupboard and loaded that, we will see what happens!!
OH knows how to do this stuff, but, takes time to get him sorted out so figured it would be better to learn myself.
Will let you know how it goes.

Erh'm yes - Windows can burn files to CD but there is no guarantee that the resultant CD will play in your car.

I mentioned NERO earlier. I have also used WINAMP to burn certain types of music tracks to CD which I can vouch do play on a car player.

Windows has it's own CD writing program built in. Put all the tracks you want on the CD into one folder, open the folder and select them all, right click on any one of them and click on send to CD.

Don't have much practical experience of this, but the product "NERO" seems to come up as one of the favourite disk burning programs..

I've been saving my music to the computer, but now want to make compilations to have in the car.
What's the best program to use, and how do I go about it?
Sounds stupid, but don't even know how to get photos onto disc!!
