Had my Memory Foam Mattress delivered today. Half killed myself changing the bed over, but looking forward to the best nights sleep I`ve had in years. What do other peeps think of these mattresses ?

I hope you enjoy the comfort.

I'm tempted to buy one when we decorate and revamp the bedroom..... I heard they made one very warm, which would suit me just fine, but not OH.but local shopkeeper said the mattresses have now improved and have better coverings, so that problem has been solved.

We like ours very much and miss it when we are on holiday.

Happy sleeping Len.
I hope it is all you dreamt it would be.
My problem would be the same as Gwyn's.
My husband needs the coolness and I need the heat.
They are very dear just to find that we have made a big mistake, aren't they?
Ann, I did heart that they slide with you when you turn over.... is this true in your case?

Shirley~I,m getting the hang of it Report 15 Apr 2009 15:05

We have had a memory foam topper for 18 months and we love it.we paid a little more for it to get a good one with honeycomb pockets for various support areas The first appointment with the chiro after we had it ,she wondered what I had been doing because my back was so improved. I have a sprained sacroiliac joint with one of the discs twisting and it gives sciatica type pain as a nerve gets nipped. When we went to our daughter for Christmas the topper came with us.
Neither of us find it makes us hot!!

One of my first threads on here was about our broken bed and I asked for advice re the memory foam mattresses. We did get one and it is comfy and despite o.h. always feeling too hot whereever he is, he has adapted to it and loves it, whereas I am not too bothered either way, it is comfy but I don't usually miss it when we go away and I sleep on a different mattress.
You do have to be sure and use a mattress cover to keep it clean and I take all the bedding off including mattress cover, every week and with a window open leave the bed and mattress to air for several hours before remaking the bed, I wash the mattress cover every couple of weeks or so so have two, one on and one in the wash.
They are usually much deeper than usual so some of our fitted sheets don't fit well, and show a bit of the lower edges of the mattress but the cover is deeper so that keeps it clean and once the duvet etc is on it doesn't show.

Enjoy your mattress Len, and a good night's sleep!

At least with these ones you only turn them top to bottom every so often, and not right over lol
