I have made a mistake on my family tree but cannot cancel it - I go to edit tools - to cancel but it tells me it cannot be cancelled when connected to multiple relations Help.

Hi Doreen,

I'm sure I've seen this asked on the boards before. I think if you contact GR support with the details they can correct it for you.

So try that before you go deleting half your tree, lol.

Good luck hope you get it sorted.

Yes Doreen... bad isn't it?
I have my granny married twice to my grandad... don't know how I did that, but they can just stay there.
Too many people to delete and replace.

You need to delete all the dependents first, otherwise they would be left floating. This is ok with a program such as FTM as you can then re-attach to the correct place later, but is not allowed on GR.

When you add a child, GR automatically adds a blank partner, so there is no need to add one yourself. This is likely to be what happened to Deanna.

If you have two partners instead of one, delete the one without dependents and amend the information on the other to what it should be.
