I found this on the homecoming 2009 website it starts from the 21st July in Glasgow,

International Genealogy Festival

The University of Strathclyde hosts Scotland's first International Genealogy Festival. Overseas Family History Societies, Clan & Family Associations and anyone with an interest in Scots at home and abroad, are invited to take part in the Exhibition and Lecture series. If you're part of the Scottish Diaspora, or if you would like to discover more about family records in Scotland and overseas then join us for a worldwide celebration of Scots Genealogy, Family History and Heraldry with a major exhibition, lectures, historic walks and visits and much more!

The Festival is themed geographically by days:

· Day 1 - Tuesday 21 July 2009 - The Americas

· Day 2 - Wednesday 22 July 2009 - Australia and New Zealand

· Day 3 - Thursday 23 July 2009 - The British Empire (India, Asia, the Caribbean etc.)

· Day 4 - Friday 24 July 2009 - Europe and Russia

Make a package of it! Coming to the Open Championship (18/19 July) or The Clan and Family Gathering (25/26 July)? The International Genealogy Festival sits neatly between them.

It is only 3 days till the homecoming.
There will be highland games and clan tents and music in Holyrood park.
And on saturday night there will be a parade from the castle down to princes street of all the Scottish clans it will be a spectacular sight to see..

Wish I was going to be there to see it, not sure if I have any Scottish relatives altho I did have past life reading off someone on the boards a while back and they said there was a Scottish connection in a past life for me!
I hope it will be on tv so I can see a bit of the parade
If anyone is going from here, I hope you have a wonderful time.
