Treadmills....... for Dogs!

Hi,

Anyone's pooch go walkies on a tread mill?

The place where our monster munch goes for his hydro pool sessions are introducing tread mills for dogs that need to build up their stamina.

Daughter has been asked if mutley would like to be a guinea pig. Don't know about a guinea pig. He will probably eat the damn thing. If there is a guinea pig around he will have that too!

Ours had mild hip dysplacia due to growing too quick. He's fine now as everything has got back in line, but his stamina isn't brilliant so my daughter is going to give it a try.

Anyone tried it?

I bought a dog specific one last March for mine. They are aimed as an extra & not a substitute for walks(other than for rehabilitation).

Hi WL,

My daughter is going to give the trial a try and if it works use it as an extra to builiding him up and get one for home.

I must admit with my mad sense of humour I just have this vision of him on the tread mill doing a Peter Kay impersonation of Is This The Way to Amorila and falling of the bleeding thing like Ronnie Corbet!

I told you all too many times in the past that I am the original Wicked Witch of the North!

It does take sometime to get the dogs used to them & they are not cheap. The company I bought mine from, was backed by James Caan & mine was close to £700 to buy.
